Vice Governor Rano Explores Employment Opportunities in Japan

Jakarta Vice Governor, Rano Karno admitted is discussing and exploring the potential of employment opportunity in Japan.

According to information, he added, Japan needs 840,000 manpower.

"Japan is still need 840,000 manpower. Jakarta is given big facility," he said, Wednesday (4/16).

Rano continued the job opportunity can be chance to obtain decent work and improve welfare for Jakarta residents.

Rano added Japan needs manpower for various sectors such as truck, bus, and tourism drivers. Then medical personnel for nursing home and hospital, hotel and cruise ship.

For this opportunity, Rano plans to run various programs in preparing workers from Jakarta to meet the job vacancies in Japan.

The main preparation is Japanese language and English. It aims to give communication skill for the workers.

"They give us 50 percent quote out of 840,000. Hopefully we can start the preparation next year," he hoped.
